Note to self. When in Ukraine, speaking with my managers, stop using USA as an example of great customer service. In my recent experience it hasn't been so good actually.

Observations of post-OR Ukraine, expat life in Kyiv, and about managing a company American style in a post-Soviet "business" culture.

can you elaborate please?
in my experience, some things are better in US and some in Ukraine, customer-service-wise; but generally, in Ukraine face-to-face contact is much more difficult when things go wrong, and over-the-phone is just little better but still worse than in U.S.
Here I differentiate between "how nice are they to you (or, do they ever notice you, or turn their back), do they listen to you" and "what they actully can and would do".
